Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most well-known character was that of Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards to recognize Outstanding Supporting Performance in Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in Preparatory before her Family moved to Ohio. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre as well as the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago and worked in theater roles for many years. Then she moved to Hollywood and began acting in TV shows and films. Anna got her first major part as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. The actress continued to make appearances as an actor in handful of TV series and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue up to the end of 1990's, when she was cast in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood that was shot in the mid 2000's. Skyler played Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn has also appeared on the stage for David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the audio drama podcast series of four parts called Numbered Days, which was launched in 2022. The relationship that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot of Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of his life.
